AND SERGIO TAKES THE GOLD! ! !

We just got word that our very own Sergio Mancini picked up first prize in the latest Munnyworld contest held by Kidrobot, and will have a slot in the 2012 Dunny Series! ! !

Congratz Sergio, I'm glad to see one of the many talented artists from the MW collective getting a shot on a production Dunny Series! I'm sure you have tons of great stuff in the works and that this is just the tip of the iceberg ;)

Here's a bit more direct from the Munnyworld contest page:

Comments from the judges on Sergio's "PROJECT : MUNNY" winning entry:

"There are many aspects to why this piece is so brilliant, both in concept and execution. The clever concept really displays the true form of MUNNY. By taking the idea of "doing it yourself" crossed with a monkey character (inspiration for the platform), the simplicity of the platform is truly respected in this highly controlled custom. The striking execution is spot on and looks like a production piece already. You can tell the artist had his eyes on the prize, and was intent on taking a spot in Dunny Series 2012 when conceiving this design. Who wouldn't want this little guy in their collection. I do!"

Congratulations again bro, can't wait to see what you have in store for us for 2012!

EL DIABLO MADE HIM DO IT!

Here's a hellishly awesome piece from Walter "Chauskoskis" Jacott, titled, "Don Diablo". This was done for the recent show, "Cast in Plastic", which was held at Domy Books in Houston, Texas. Featuring over 30 artists, this was definitely one of the stand out pieces from the other already great customs. Straight from his blog, here's what Walter had to say about "Don Diablo". . .

"For the "Cast in plastic show"
Base toy is a Bumrush, designed by Jroo from www.dynomightnyc.com/
I have a bunch of fund doing this piece, it was meant to be for my personal collection but then I was invited to this show by Abe Lincoln Jr and Marie Ung, and since it is a open platform show I decide to finish this guy that has been sitting on my desk unfinished for too long. So here it is... "Don Diablo"

Lucky is the fan who picked this guy up. Truly, one amazing piece, from one amazing artist! Can't wait to see what's next for Walter, I'm sure it'll be yet another stellar custom ;)

BACK IN BLACK. . .AND WHITE THAT IS.

yO!

We're coming back with a bit of news on what the MW artists are currently up to. We'll try to have a new story each day, so stay tuned, and be sure to follow us so that you don't miss out ;)

Today we're coming at you with a bloody great custom by non other than Jon Paul Kaiser. Working on one of the most iconic figures in the urban vinyl game by Futura, and intertwining it with the 1922 cult classic film, "Nosferatu", this custom will drain you of more than just your attention. . .

What can I say about this that hasn't already been said? Mmm, probably nothing, so I'll just say this. . . Absolutely A-MA-Z I N G ! JPK never seizes to astound me with his clean lines, and such great attention to detail. A job well done Jon, keep em' coming!
